I have been searching for a different set of heads for my 455. I recently had the motor tore down and found the motor likely to be 72-76 with the heads with no flow. Was looking to go with TA Performance aluminum heads but as in the world we know the supply chain is non existent for parts and I am about 100+ people deep if I was to order them today. Any one have performance heads or heads from GS 71 ideally but open to other options for sale in the Minnesota area. much appreciated
You can check the number above the oil sender port and tell what year it is, for sure. 72 heads are OK. You can also run older heads which opens up the possibilities for you. Do some research on this site (search). You'll learn a lot!
Found out Edelbrock only is making LS parts currently from a supplier. Not sure this is true but no one has any stock .
