Well after getting my car engine finally back and up n running after a few years due to the mysterious vanishing parts under the hood but thx to v8buicks helps my neighbor and myself 72 skylark is back running!! BUT I guess someone decided to help them selves to one of my trunk lid torsion bars as well NEVER thought that trunk parts would mysteriously vanish too. My mistake but live and you learn. So now i am in need of a torsion bar for 72 skylark hardtop haven't seen much online when i looked specifically for skylark. Only other A-body's same year im guessing they are not the same since mine went missing.. Any leads are appreciated guys thx. 20220514_145753.jpg

Chevelle’s Are the same. In fact the ‘70 through’72 deck lid’s interchange. This should at least help expand your search.

Will make a call to a see if this the case but anyone know if this to be true? I thought the same thing as well It might be the same size but doesnt mean the mounting contraptions are the same i guess?

I have a pair in my 70 Skylark body that I can remove. Trunk lid is already gone anyway.

1970-72 Skylark, Chevelle and Monte Carlo deck lids interchange. I would imagine the rods would too. Only exception is the GSX's with stiffer torsion rods.

yes and yes. Oh yea like Brad says; the Monte will also interchange. Duh, my GSX race car clone has a Monte Carlo lid on it, and also yes mountings are all the same.
