You should make an offer of $12.99 for it. That is about what it is worth.

In his hurry to post this for sale, he missplaced the decimal point. Either that, or he is smoking something really strong that has clouded his mind. I agree with Jon on the correct price. It is, after all, just a filter, not a piece of unobtainium.

They could have at least thrown in free shipping.

Don't laugh too hard. If you had those nos filters, you'd see the Bloomington concourse guys come and get it.
Sold two of those filters 18 yrs ago for $350. each.
How do you think those 250k cars get so expensive? High dollar correct parts.:D

The price may be high, but you will be saving a lot on the shipping. I know for a fact you can't ship it that cheap, it's at least 2 or 2.5 x that cost to ship it. What really ticks me off is when a seller asks a ridiculous price for an item, then adds a ridiculous price for the shipping, also. I just bought a tiny piece of crap part from CARS that weighed 1 oz packed and fit in a 3 x 5" envelope. Cost of shipping was $7.75 which is two times plus the actual cost to ship it including the cost of the envelope. Inline likes to do that, too.

Square or diamond wire. Depends on vehicle. It's that f'ing box that drives the price up too...o_O:rolleyes:
I think nos Corvette Rosewood steering wheels go for abt 3k now.

First off, I dont think thats the air filter that went in that box. In 70, that would be square mesh. Second, they make an excellent repro of the square mesh. I mean its almost perfect with the white printing on it. And its like $35 from Ground up.

You just made my day ... I have a couple of those. I'll just borrow those key words from that auction and see what happens. Stupid money can buy stupid parts. Nothing like financing a air filter for your car! I'd love to get $103.04 per month for a year on a $8 part. Lets see if any bidders.

    Thanks

    Buyer beware!
Those AC filters were abt $3.00 back in 69-70

You could message the seller and pop his bubble.... about the missing 'W'.:D

i know we are all just blowing off steam on this but how many of us have spent $1500-$2000 on a used carb or dist that needs restored????. i think the muscle car hobby is a complete joke money wise. unless you have a RARE desirable car it's a complete waste of hard earned money! there just is no way around the absurd cost of this stuff. you have to be in it for the love of it and hope it does not bankrupt ya,lol
    P.S looking for a correct 70 stg1 4spd carb for $500......................
