I saved a '71 from being crushed, but it's a shell of what it once was. If you have any parts that you were considering discarding, please let me know as I am on a super tight budget and want to save this car. I can trade parts I have(some 66-67 and some 70-72), or if you're local I can trade my services as an ASE Master Auto Tech for parts. I'm not working right now so my schedule is wide open, I work on all years foreign or domestic with electrical and diagnostics my specialty. PM me if you're interested. Thanks, Artie
Artie, give us a list of needed parts I may have a few parts but not sure if they will help you. :beer
This is just the stuff I know of off the top of my head: any grille front bumper black door panels gas pedal assembly(auto trans car) heater/ac box under hood for AC equipped car dash internals and black dashpad windshield and moldings rear moldings for window drip rail moldings right inner fender radiator support rocker moldings wheel well moldings I haven't even turned a wrench on the car yet, but this is what I saw on my initial inspection. I'll take parts in any condition just to get the car complete again. I bought a gas cap and I'm building around it  I'm just lucky I picked up a 455/TH400 so I have a drivetrain. If anyone needs it, I also have a running '72 Olds 350 motor on a stand in my garage, plus a few cams for it and a gasket set. Thanks, Artie
Artie, I have a good trans cross member & dual inlet air cleaner left from my 72.... To bad you didn't get this a couple of months ago... I just junked my complete interior & front bumper. I'll check what I have left & let you know anything more.
Kenne-Belle Rocker Arm I just offered Artie a set of repairable Kenne-bell Roller rockers which I am going to get to him next week. I believe it just needs one rocker arm and set screw. If anybody has one, help Artie out and he will be set to go. The guy I got them from said he had a hard time getting one from Kenne-Belle and switched over to new set from Poston. Regards Dennis
Jeff, I could use that crossmember, let me know how much you want for it with shipping to Union NJ 07083.
I was looking through my parts and taking inventory, it turns out I actually have a pair of bumper brackets that go on the frame horns. I think there's 2 on the sides, does anyone know for sure, or do I have these covered?
I can relate to building a car on a budget. This is my only Skylark part left. Its a driver side headlight Bezel, but I dunno what year. 70-72 for sure. Its blobbed with paint, but its yours for free if you want it. PM me your address.
72 Hood I have a 72 Skylark hood that is in all around good condition, just a small dent on the front edge of the hood, no rust, PM me and let me know if you are interested.
Andrew, I actually have a hood on the car that's not in bad shape. I appreciate the offer, thanks for looking out for a fellow board member :TU:
Artie, I have a lot of parts. Actually way to many to list. Can you possibly make a list of the top 20 or so parts you are looking for? I know it's hard. When I started my GSX's restoration the list was about 10 pages long and kept growing over time. Maybe I can help you out. Brian
No problem Artie... I'll get it boxed up & let you know from there.... Also have a driver's remote mirror, Headlight Baskets, & front fender marker lenses... all in decent condition. If you want those too just let me know & I'll throw them in the box with the X member, free for the asking :TU: Do you need a front sway bar... I kept the one off of my GS... haven't gotten around to getting rid of it yet... let me know. :TU: Later
Brian, the main list is a couple posts up. I'll be updating it after the weekend since I found some of the stuff locally. Jeff, I need to check, but I think the swaybar is missing. All the other stuff you listed is missing too, so get me a price on the shipping. If I can get the car to the nats this year, head on up! Thanks, Artie
Artie, Are you looking for the GS rockers or the 3/4" stainless trim piece? If you are looking for GS rockers, I have a set. 1 needs a tiny bit of work needed, should be no problem, and the other is in good condition. They could use paint on the stripes freshened up. I do not have the mounting pieces. The problem is that I am going to be gone for a week and a half. But I can hook you up for a price that you will not be able to beat. Email me for details at mrlittlejohn@yahoo.com I can understand the budget build ups, as I have been there. Needless to say, good luck and maybe I will see something else you could use to help you out. Mike
