Oh come on Gary :moonu: Your building a Chubby. You don't need that ahh hold on...that ugly oil pan, I'll take it off your hands real cheap  I guess I'll just have to use it on my engine :Brow: Gary...great to see your back on track Pal. Steve does great work. :TU:
Nice! Is that set up for an external pick up line? When I make the change I want to go all out with the Scavenger system, oil pan, and remote oil filter.
Bling, Bling! Gotta love that craftsmanship. :TU: Gary, Did your old pan have a few large holes in it? Hope not. Does Steve Renolds have a website for his products and pricing?
Hi Guys, Gary....Great looking oil pan, Steve's work is AWESOME!!:Smarty: He's built a couple of different pans for me.:TU: So..what is your pan's capacity considered to be with the sump being "T'd" like I see?o No:
Gonna try to still get away w/ 8qts,Just wanted keep oil away from rotating assembly as much I could w/o the pan being any closer to the ground.
Lookin real good. Mine looked just like that last year......yesterday I spent some time wiping all the dirt, grime, and oil off of it while I changed the oil. It will only look so nice until you put it on the engine!!!!!
Pan! Yes, Steve makes a nice pan. I was just working on one of his for my engine last weekend. I had to redrill the hole for the pickup as the one that came in the pan was too close to the rear for the external pickup we were using to work. Got the pan all fit over the girdle and all looks nice. Sure makes life simpler to go with the external pickup. WE built a Stef knock-off pan with a internal pickup for my last enigine and that was a pain. Now if I can get the rest of this thing to go together as well, maybe I will have an engine this year. Real nice Gary thats a nice peice, Steve does real nice work. not trying to throw any stones but i hope your not going to wait on that block to try that pan out, cuz my buddys waiting on one too and hes now listening to me and putting a budget bullet together so he can wait for super bowl 45 for his new block ou: Like i said before i know a bunch of people with parts hanging around so let me know if you need anything.Later John
Thanks Thanks guys, for the comments. I don't currently have a web site. Someday if I go back to SRE full time, I will have a web site, take charge cards and advertise. I am going to try to put together a catalog of some type soon, maybe in time for the GSCA Nat's. Right now I can't keep up with just the word-of-mouth advertising that I get. I don't want to lead people on and then take 6 months to deliver. I'm taking steps to be more productive and more efficient in the building of my products with the addition of new equipment, etc. This should inturn shorten my lead times. Thanks again! P.S. way to keep the BUICK faith Gary!!!
I guess my IQ and feeling like I have gone as fast BBB powered as I feel I can has kept from jumping ship........we'll see
Top notch nothing better I can say other than your up their with the best of them Steve! Your oiling system you sold me is what keeps my engine alive and well! You may not have a web site yet, but you can always find your name on the side of my car. :TU:
Gary, Do you still have your old engine? Sold it, broke it? o No: Good luck with the new project. I think I will keep on playing with the BBB's also, and a few SBC's I have.
Sold my 505 shortblock(still going strong) to put max-effort into my B-dog block that they asked for full payment on last December or so seeing as how they were going to start completion at that time......... :af: :blast: My old top end will find it's way onto a 476 shortblock that should be a bit lighter and more efficient,Hopeful to run around where I was before but with my luck wouldn't be surprised if I was stuck going 10.30's
