I don't mean that I'll have every CAR, but I will have ONE of EACH of EVERY VERSION of them that has been available, from Each Manufacturer! :Smarty: :TU: So far, I have At Least one of each (and 2 or more of some): Scale: 1/64th (Johnny Lightning, Hot Wheels, Racing Champions, etc.)- MOST 1/32nd (Tootsie Toy)- COMPLETE SET 1/25th (Revell/Monogram)- COMPLETE SET 1/24th (Welly)- COMPLETE SET 1/18th (ERTL)- MOST Color: Black Blue Brown Chrome Green Orange Pink Purple Red Tan White Yellow Now that you've made me look up my "checklist" (as found on the '70-'72 GSX Registry), I have 50 out of 65 GSX models that were made! I have 2 or more of some of the same models, but I didn't count them twice. For example, I have 10 Revell/Monogram '70 GSX 3-in-1 models of the same car (same box, same part #s, same body color, etc.), so I only count it as "1" car! I only need a few cars to complete my collection! Anything more that I find/buy are just "bonus" cars! I don't consider the "unrestored" ERTL cars to be collectible, so I won't include them in my collection (I have enough "unrestored" cars in my Full Scale collection, already. I don't need to see Little junk cars, too! :Smarty: ). The Tootsie Toy cars that were "Custom Painted" for the GS Nationals will not be in my collection, since they're just "homebuilt" versions. I already have all of the original Tootsie Toy series, as a complete set, plus extras (to "homebuild" if I want, too).:bglasses: They never made a GSX Convertible from the factory, so I won't have the GSX Convertibles, either. I might buy the GS Convertibles, maybe, but not GSX Convertibles! I've been buying as many extra ERTL (Body Shop) Yellow and White cars, so I can build some of them like my own cars, and as customs! I bought FIVE of the ('96 GS Nats) Prototype GSX's, with Window Stickers, and all unopened, for less than what I've seen ONE sell for (on Ebay) , so I don't need ANOTHER one!ou: The main cars I'd really like to get, are: Bittersweet Mist '71 GSX (ERTL 1/18th) Stratomist Blue '71 GSX (ERTL 1/18th) Purple '70 GSX (JL New York Toy Fair 1/64th) Orange '70 GSX (JL Tokyo Toy Fair 1/64th) Yellow '71 GSX (100% Hot Wheels 1/64th) I WILL collect them ALL, in time, though, Randy! Five is not too many to find!:TU:
Diecast Cars Like I said Scott: Very addictive ! You are obviously a very serious collector - LOL on your search ! :TU: :TU: :TU:
Between GSX's and Lamborghini Countaches, for all the Models, Posters, Pictures, Magazines, History Books, Clothes, Keychains, Money Clips, Tie Tacks, Cuff Links, and everything else I've collected for these cars, I probably could have one of each of them in the Garage, instead! :Smarty: No, I'm not a "serious" collector. It's all for Fun!
I hear yah Scott - got enough diecast and memoribilia to start my own store, and it is fun ! :beer :TU:
