YIKES!! This is why I love my '66 and all my former Buicks. Ground issue? Pretty easy to fix, if sometimes annoying. Cheers!
I saw it on a video with a guy comparing the difference. Trust me, thats the only way I know and asked because I googled it and learned something new from your post

Just wait until he finances himself a used Mustang GT! (I used to own an ‘05 GTO, and there is a forum for them. As they became cheaper used cars the posts, questions, modifications and wreckage got stupider and stupider, such that a new section was created to house them all: FP=FQONM; falling prices equals falling quality of new members. There were a lot of snobs on there, but the stupid was truly stupid). Patrick
there are some really goofy car forums out there for sure guys. but remember there is a flipside! what if those other guys looked at this forum? i can here them now howling with laughter as we discuss what percentage gloss is on heater core box vs firewall. how about when we spend 100 grand on a restore and purposely have the painter blow overspray on the frame cause "THATS THE WAY THE FACTORY LINE DID IT" LOL. or how some nut spent 400 bucks on a set of 50 year old used tires. and there were guys bummed because they did not get them lol. its all relative boys. now i have to get back to work on the x because my horn ground wires are not clocked at 6 o'clock as the manual states. charlie,,,
Just don't buy a C-2 with that HUGE defect, or if the star washer is not "original." They will hoist you up at the "judging" event and laugh you out of the "club." I have asked them what they DO with their 100 pt cars since driving them automatically lowers the point count. Never got a real answer other than "not driving them is a sin" kind of thing. Even back then, the "holy grail" '67 427/435 4-speed cars that sell for well-into 6-figures today were pretty hard to drive around town. BUT, if you have ANYTHING LESS, well, nice knowing you, chump. Oh, and from what I can glean from the Forum, which is really pretty good, every one of the current ones has a "re-stamped" block since they were all pretty much blown-up back then. Makes a purchase kinda hard, methinks, even at the highest dollar level. It is a crazy world out there, friends. Tough addiction, right? Cheers!
