How quick before more than a stock oil pan is warranted?

    Any rules of thumb for when a stock pan with acceleration baffle is no longer sufficient to keep enough oil around the pickup tube?

    Anything above a stock rebuild ! If your going to spin the engine forget the stock crap . Not worth it for a few hundred dollars .

    Adam,
    I opted for one of Steve Reynolds pans on my engine, glad I did. To answer your question though, I'd say anything over 500 HP.
