Hi guys, So my new forward light harness has the engine harness connector on it rather than the proper oem replacement, according to my comparison with the original. Due to distance and time, I think I am better off swapping the original connector onto the new harness. Everything else is identical. I have watched some videos, but can't quite understand how to remove the terminals. I am not sure what type they are. Does anybody have a link to the instructions I need or a clear explanation? Thanks very much.
The "tab" is on the sides the arrow is touching. You need a very small flat blade screwdriver, and go in from the side in the image of your's below. Put some very light "pull" tension on the wire. Push it in and it compresses one side tab, then the repeat for the other side tab and slide it out. I have a small screwdriver I have filed to use on almost all the PAC connectors.
Yeah, baby! Improvise, adapt, overcome! If you need the terminals, let me know. I can either look up the ones I ordered in the past, or mail you a few, whatever works best.
Thanks man, that's awesome. I should be fine as I have my entire original vehicle harness should I need the small parts. Got the oem connector off without damaging a single one. Like so many things, an easy job when you know how. You were a big help!
This handy dandy little tool works wonders on releasing those pesky terminals from their death grip on plastic....... https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-56500-Terminal-Tool/dp/B0009OR906
