    Hey Houstonians
Shall we put together a caravan to Temple?
I was thinking we could meet for breakfast at Shoney's at 290 and 34th about 8am.
    What y'all think?
    Any other ideas?

    Nick,
Sounds like a good idea but might want to think about having it a little further out 290 as there will be some who have to backtrack if they want to caravan and meet for breakfast at that location. I'm planning on going but haven't decided on whether I'll take the GS or the truck.

What was your drive time last fall? We just need to leave in time to get there for Mark's cooking.

IF all goes well PLAN is to be bringing the Black 72 out. (David's turn) I MAY have to try & mooch another trailer if the Yellow car is not gone by then, even just to have it there For Sale.

    Re: suggestion

I'm open to suggestions. My boss lives way out 290 and I asked him for locations around 290 and the beltway, and got a Denny's at 43, one at 34th, and Shoneys. Figured Shoney's would go over better with the group with the buffet. If anyone knows of anything farther out, that would be good.
I'm thinking drive time was maybe 3-1/2 hrs.

Here's another posibility--maybe it will work better?

Denny's at 290 and FM1960. A bit outside the beltway.

    Thoughts?

    Nick,
Sounds good to me. Are we going to shoot for an earlier time? I know JR and Dave were going to try and leave earlier but not sure how early.

    Wish I was going

Wish I was going. I'm a CPA and I rarely see daylight until after April 15th. Is the get together ever after 4/15?

Have fun and post some pics when you get back.

Sorry you can't make it. We may do it again (less formally) in the fall. See the Thoughts on Semi Annual event thread.

OK folks, here's a map if people get separated from the caravan I'll have paper copies Saturday morning too.
    Milages are approximate.
For the trailer folks there is supposed to be a bank just past Denny's, which may provide easier parking.
I'll have my appetite ready Saturday morning at 7.
