I have a B&M shift kit in the otherwise stock TH400. Recently dyno'd the wagon to get a baseline before winter and the dyno operator mentioned he had to pedal the gas quite a bit to prevent it from shifting. We tried to do runs in 2nd and 3rd.

What has everyone else done to hold a gear on the dyno on stockish transmissions?

Dis-connect the downshift wire at the trans. IF you remove the vacuum hose on the modulator it won't let the trans. upshift until the governor allows it to. Just be careful as it just may make hold it a little longer than what the governor will allow. IF the speed is too slow & the modulator hose is hooked up it will also downshift.
