    hello everyone,
I have a 72 buick skylark with a 350 in it. The problem that I am having is the car start to go and then at around 15 mph, it starts to hesitate until around 25mph. I checked the fuel fiter but it was good. replaced it anyways.any suggestions for me would be appreciated.

Sounds like your carb might need an overhaul kit. Probably the accellerator pump has hardened up and doesn't seat anymore. It's pretty common on the rochester carbs.

hey dave, i get mine at NAPA, usually around $15 and you have to buy the float seperatetly. HTH

Dave, another thing to note when rebuilding a Q-Jet besides the Napa kit and brass float (why get the plastic crap?) is the secondary cam. When you pull the top off, take the secondary butterfly shaft out and inspect the white plastic cam, if cracked or anything then replace it as well. Nothing works (cleaning wise) like two days in an hot-tank for aluminum.. :bglasses: Make sure ya hose it off and use compressed air thru everything.. Also, if you get the kit at Napa use your AAA card if you have one, it can save ya around $5 on the kit...

Ray, ditch the holley for a "good" carb.. A Q-Jet.. :Brow:

    Cheers all,

    Scott
