    You may want to look at this thread for info on the GS issue. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?229211-1971-GS-350-or-455&highlight=43437

    ST 71= Style 1971 model

    4 = Buick

    34 = GS

    37 = 2 door hardtop

    Z = Fremont plant

    00732 BDY = Fisher Body sequence number

    TR 156 = vinyl saddle interior with a notchback front seat

    B80 = Drip rail molding

    78 F PNT = Rosewood body paint with a saddle color ??vinyl top ( I am guessiing at the top color based on the interior color)

    01B = Built 2nd week of January 1971

    049166 480264 = Fremont plant internal codes

    Many thanks for the info!
    Is the TR 156 Sandle interior maybe?

    What I already knew was the Paint Code, but Ive only seen one picture of a rosewood GS.
    Unfortunately the car was painted "GSX yellow" a long time ago.

    I think Rosewood is a sweet color.

    Thats what I think as well and a rare color on the GS. but I can only find one GS on the net in Rosewood.
    Is there somebody here with a rosewood colored car?

    But Im going without the vinyl top and since Ive got a new black interior for the car with bucket seats, will go this route.

    Guys F top is dark brown not saddle.
    code 156 interior is saddle which would be dark saddle. Not SaNdlewood which is much lighter.
