All -- Just wanted to take a quick second to introduce myself. I am here because for whatever reason, I have gotten the bug to try and locate my first car -- the one that I drove in high school. I was living back in New Jersey at the time -- Califon to be exact and Voorhees High School. It was a 1968 Buick GS400, 4-speed Hurst shifter with a convertible top. Red with a black interior and one of just 351 produced. I remember my dad and I going over to look at it in the snow one afternoon and I only hesitated about 5 seconds before buying it. I had saved my money and picked it up for $800. Stupid me, I didn't know what I had -- how many of us do -- and I sold it before I went off to college in 1980. DOH! I sold it to a classmate of mine named Joe Morrison, but I've not been able to locate him to see if he still has it or who he might have sold it to. So....my goal in joing the club is to see if I can get any advice and/or assistance in how I might go about locating this car. Any and all thoughts are welcome! John Papp (719) 660-8266
Hi John<o></o> I live in New Jersey & have just bought a 68gs 400 convertible, it is not the one you are looking for but I will keep my eye out when attending shows since people with the same cars tend to gravitate towards each other. <o></o> <o> </o> Good luck in your search <o></o> Joe<o></o>
Hi John any chance you saved any old souvenier that might have the vin on it? The vin would help. I know in PA you can get a notarized vin search done which goes back 10 years.
John, O God Yes. Mine was a 1966 Chevelle. But if I could have any car I wanted this would be it P.S. Welcome abroad!
Welcome from Denver. I don't know of too many Buick owners or V8 Board memebers from Colo. Springs. But I am on the lookout for a specific car and owners from there. 1970 GSX, Saturn Yellow, Owner is retired military supposedly. I'm hoping someone will run into him at a car cruise or show and get his contact information for me.
you might be able to track down joe morrison through some high school web site like classmates or other sites. good luck,
