Hi, my passenger headlight bezel will not stay in place. I always pops out if I take it driving. It isn't completely loose but not flush with the fender end or hood end so I need to push ot back in. I have tried replacing the plastic pin pieces. I assume the hole on the metal for the pins are a little too big for what ever reason. Any advice to make it stay in? 1970 Buick GS 350.

I assume you do know that you need to stake the new plastic mounting pins when you install them, otherwise they will not seat properly in the core support.

I've bought the black plastic stand offs that didn't have the little plastic rod in them that expands it in the square hole. The ones that CARS sells have them

This is what I have. The other bezel side is fine. What am I missing?

Screw might not be long enough to push the pin

They are the same size on the other side, however, maybe there is some other differences and I will try a longer screw to check.

When I see this issue just get longer screws, sometimes really long screws if plastic pin is missing

You can push the pin in with a punch. The screws look short for a 70 GS.

I went with longer screws and sure enough, that solved the problem. No idea why one bezel side was fine when all the screws and parts were the same length. Maybe the metal is slightly off, not flat behind the bezel. Anyways, an extra quarter inch of screw made them nice and tight. I went ahead and did the other side with the longer screws just in case.

    Thanks everyone.
