Has anyone installed these lights? Looking to install these in a 68 GS. "I want to stay with the glass headlights. Any thoughts or ideas or what to look for during installation? Thanks Frank

I have them on my 69 Skylark, I run the halos as daytime running lights. I installed his bulbs in all 4 bulbs. I got the everything off Amazon mostly plug and play. I did use an adapter cable with porcelain end.

Used the H4 bulb from Amazon and added an RBG strip from a PC. More to come when finished!

Most of them generate significantly more heat and require upgraded electrical systems; some require modifications to the headlamp bezel.
Recommend upgrading your alternator and using relays for the headlight power rather than drawing everything through the headlamp switch itself.

Hi Frank - should of said RGB I guess, but - I was building a computer (putting parts together - lol) that used Red/Blue/Green LED lights, or RBG. RGB LED is a combination of three LEDs in just one package: red, green and blue; ... you generate different colors by adjusting the brightness of each of the three LEDs of the RGB LED. In other words, using a combination of red, blue, green colors you can get other colors. What intrigued me is that they use 12 volts DC. So a strip of LEDs could easily be used on a car:

C370F5E2-2CAD-4697-B137-C023B97153A0.jpeg You can’t tell it’s a halo in the picture, without the camera the do stand out. The halo is a solid halo around the light not multiple LED lights. Halos are driving lights, when I turn lights on the inside lights come on and halos have hi beam lights inside them. The brand is Delta lights. The inside are LED, someone on the board did a write up on the parts he used. I used his information for the inside lights.

Finally installed mine: Leds headlights are bright like everyone has posted. My halos do tricks:

They look better than the camera can capture. I may need a filter or get further away. I control the lights with an app on my phone (I'm so with it) to speed up/slow down/change pattern or colors.

I had red halos on my 72. Wired the halos in with the side marker lights/ running lights. I didnt want my halos to be on the circuit for the turn signals. If you go with those i wanna say halogen bulbs? They need a relay Like others have said. I had issues with my headlights when the high beams were on. I could run the low beams all day long no issues, but if i had the high beams on they would work for a little bit then flick on and off. For my halo headlights, to mount them i had to enlarge the hole in the headlight buckets because the headlight wouldnt fit in the stock sized opening of the head light bucket. I havent tried the LED bulbs yet but may in the future as well as one of the relays. When i turn the headlights on it washes out the red halo ring and all you see is the light from the headlight

JMO, but these remind me of people putting flickering lights in Buick portholes (excuse me, cruiserline ventiports). It's a fad.

if they are washed out by headlights at night they would not work for my use then since you cant see them.
