I need some clarification regarding the "Interior" Rules; It says "Aftermarket bucket seats are allowed." It doesn't say 2 aftermarket seats are allowed. Since I have 1 aftermarket racing seat, my interpratition of that is 1 is OK, because there are quite a few different kinds of seats available in the aftermarket, right?! I guess you could call the 15lb. nitrous bottle on the passanger side "a very artsy fartsy, post modern " uncomfortable seat!
Next is "Carpeting", the rules say "blah, blah, blah, and carpeting are required". What is the minimum amount of carpeting to meet the requirment??
My heavy sled (about 3550lbs w/ driver) has the factory carpet delete option. If I throw a couple large carpet material floor mats in, will that be OK??
I need to make sure that guy doing the Tech. is happy.......Right Rick!

[IMG] Gezz your so needy....I guess you could put a pony saddle on the bottle but the idea is to have two seats or one really wide seat. As far as the modern look approach, don't go there. Large cylindrical object do not take the place of a seat in the "straight" world............ On the carpet, I know your Mrs. would love to lend you one of the area rugs out of the living room. OR just borrow one out of your other 65'. You'll probably need the motor out of it by then anyways so grab the carpet while your at it. Don't make me get your wife involved to get it looking "nice". You were the one that decided to make a convertable into a race car so now you have to deal with keeping up the image

So what kind of turnout is expected? I dont see much action on this post. I am going to plan on making it,but I planned on 3 races last year and never got the car ready. Motor is about done, but the car itself needs work, the body is a mess.

Is this class going to be run at any other Buick events this year? If not, will there be something comparable...something heads up 10.5 tire-wise?

Let's see a roll-call of those planning on making this class work out...Fish

    Hi Guys,

I, for one, would also like to run this class but the ONLY hinderence I can see as far as the posted rules above for me would be that my Regal is being set-up to run E-85 (85% corn ethanol/15% gasoline) with my FAST XFI by Cal Hartline.

Would I be allowed to do so or would this allowance open an entirely new can-o-worms in terms of "other" fuels?:Do No:

If this will not be a problem, my health holds out to let me finish the car on time and I'm not laid up in the hospital during the event then I most certainly plan on running this class! I'll be able to hook the transbrake up for this one.:Brow:

As a side thought.....being that I have an XFI it will hold a couple of different "tunes" so I guess as a back-up I could have Cal give me an additional stricly gasoline program. The only thing with doing that is I'm worried that my 84lb injectors may indeed be too big then and open a whole new set of problems for me.

Hey, now. You're pretty cocky for a guy that needs a blue bottle to make horsepower. :moonu:

I like what Grumpy Jenkins said "Turbos (or nitrous) are for people that can't build engines." :Do No:

    Het a new Builder.....

    [IMG] oh...whatever......
If that's the case, ya'll need to find better engine builders since they can't seem to build anything that will keep up.... Plus I think Grumpy would have something to say about a bunch of Buick Geeks[IMG] trying to use Buick engines to make race motors.
