Gov-lock

    Re-reading the post I responded to, I think I parsed the sentence incorrectly and thought he meant something he didn't.

    I think your facts are wrong on the Auto locker AKA Gov locker gm units.
    The GM Truck Gov lockers are Clutch type ...They only engage UNDER 30mph not over 30 MPH.
    They have a ramp gear that engages the clutch from tire twist against the 2 piece ramp / waffle (think of a Pringles potato chip type looking ramp system when you twist one Pringles chip 90 degree from another..) That is the best way I can describe it so the lay person can understand. :)
    The helical Zexen Torsen Gleasen posi GM used in the LS F body cars was the NON clutch type Helical gear posi.

    Including the 9" stock case and pinion support...REPLACE IT ALL or do not Race it. lol.

    Yep. So all these great things are only great aftermarket
