We have this posted in the For Sale section, but guys selling G-body parts seem to get more press in here... We have a GN hood available. It is in good condition, but it needs stripping and refinishing. It's exactly what you '81-'87 Regal guys need. We're offering it for cheep at $100. We are located in VA, 22551, just off I-95 at exit 118. We're an hour south of DC and 45 minutes north of Richmond. We are moving and this thing must go! I'm having hood clearance issues with my stock Regal (non turbo or GN) hood. How much extra clearance does the bubble on this type of hood give you? -Rob
The hood is stored at our house in VA and I'm in SC, so I'm not looking at it to confirm this, but I don't think there's a whole lot of additional clearance with this hood unless you cut the factory bracing beneath the bulge. If there's anyone else with more information, please feel free to chime in. Thank you, Rick
Rick, I assume the hood isn't gouged or dented at all? Do you have a ballpark idea of what shipping would be to 55016? -rob
The hood is not gouged or dented, but the paint has failed so the hood should be stripped prior to re-finishing. The shipping issue is complicated because we're in SC and the hood is stored (indoors) at our house in VA. For the $100 that we're asking, we'd rather not deal with the hassle of getting a pallet and shipping the hood. We may bring it to Bowling Green for the Nats if it's still available. Thanks very much for your interest, R & K
Turbo Regal hood and regular Regal hood use same inner bracing, so clearance change is non issue. Wish your hood was in SC and you were moving to VA p . Too many iron in fire as it is, But a good TR hood for $100; not often.
