Any opinions or input on whether to get a top with a glass or plastic rear window?
Trying to decide the best way to go for a new top on my 68 GS400.

    thanks!:puzzled:

I've had both. Glass is hands-down worth the extra $$$, in my opinion.

Glass is what it was from the factory. Many aftermarket sources offer both glass and plastic, if glass was from the factory. All said and done, the plastic is a little more forgiving if you have something in the trunk (It won't shatter:pray:). Also, the plastic does tend to 'cloud' after a few years, especially if it gets a wrinkle.

I agree on the glass. Especially after the pain in the arse it is to get the stupid plastic window zipped back in. Sick of dealing with it. The top on our '65 Skylark is original (as is most everything else cosmetically). When we replace it, we are going with darker brown/taupe cloth and a glass window. Not showing it concourse anyway.

Both of my convertibles have glass, wouldn't have it any other way.
Buddy of mine has an older convertible with plastic and it sucks, can't see a thing through it at the best of times, and if the sun shines right, it's totally opaque.
