    hey michael,
if by chance you are looking for a new set of metro convertible weatherstrips(Metro model#RR 1609).
i have some i would sell for $140 (shipping included) and throw in the metro pillar post strips(Metro model#CZ 8107), i might even have a couple of other new metro parts (a hood to cowl seal and fender splash seals with new staples if i can find them) that fit your car i would throw in.

    PM if you are interested.

    Your '67 Convertible

Michael, You sure have done alot of work on your '67. It looks real nice with the new paint. I was at your house to pick up the ST300 tranny a while back when you showed me your vert in progress. Did you ever sell the red convertible?..........................John

    Hi John,

    how are you??
    did you move?

i still have the 68 convertible, my friend did send me the money for it,but,he hasn't arranged shipping yet, i really could use the garage space.
my 67 is at a garage a work :Brow:
i hope to get the rest of the parts back from the body shop this week.
i still need a few things for it.

i have the interior done , i ordered new door panels last week, carpet should be here this week. i hope to replace the body bushings this week.
while the nose is off,i wanna convert to disc brakes, and possibly pull the engine. i was gonna have the original 400 rebuilt. but the 455 in it runs great,so,i might leave it there. i have to put the dash back in.
gonna look for a new windshield this week.

i did some checking in the garage last night after i posted.

the convertible weatherstrip package (its a 7 piece set) i have has been opened, all of the weatherstrips are there and brand new.it even has the header bow weatherstrip.
the pillar post weatherstrips i have are new in the package.
the hood to cowl seal is new in the package.
the inner fender splash aprons, seals, or whatever you wanna call them are new in the package with stainless steel staples.
i bought all this stuff a couple of years back when i was ready to buy a 67 malibu vert but then changed my mind on the car after i bought the weatherstrips.

    Hi Yuk,

how much for the top 7 piece set?
i might need the hood to cowl seal, and the pillar post seal?
also never thought about the fender aprons things.
How much for all the stuff you mentioned in your last post? Michael

$140 includes everything and shipping. i have no need for it and need to get rid of it.
the vert top seal set alone sells for 134-140 on ebay before shipping.

while i was considering the 67 malibu, i went to an outdoor car show/swap meet and bought all this stuff from a vendor. its just collecting dust in my garage now.
if you decide to buy i will gladly accept a US postal money order.
also if you would like, you can send 40 bux of it to jim weise (V8buick) as a gift for the board from you and i and send me the remaining 100 bux. :TU:

    BTW ...
Your word is good enough for me to seal the deal and get the wheels a turnin.... so if you post that you DO want them, i will ship them USPS insured the next day. that way you could have them in hand (or maybe even installed) in time for the new top installation.
you dont have any scissor top parts do you? :Brow:

"scissor" tops are the psuedo for the top frame on a 71-76 GM full sized car.
the name is used because of the way the top mech folds.

    i PM'd you my address.

your package shipped out at about 1:30pm this afternoon.
when you open it be sure not to penetrate the box with anything sharp and risk harming any of you parts.

    Holy COW!!! :Dou:
i walked into my garage today to start installing a new motion light above the garage door.
preparing to gather up all of my parts and tools, i walk over to my rolling tool cart and there it is .... the hood to cowl strip i was supposed to send you with your other stuff...
so when you open the box, expect this strip to not be there ... it will show up in its own box. i will ship it tomorrow.

happy new year right back at ya.

in that box that arrived yesterday ... i dont know if that little bag of felt strips belonged with those weatherstrips of not.
i have no recollection of where they came from so i tossed them in just in case they were part of that set.
maybe for shimming or somethin? maybe not part of the set at all. ... i really dont know its been so long since i messed with that stuff.
