    you didnt say what engine.
    340, use sbf headers.
350, sbc, but depends. you have to look at the front pipe on both sides to see where they are located. outside or inside of second tube. clearance issues. shorty sbc, i think most will work. long tube is where the front tubes come into play. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chev...ies?hash=item53dc190630&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
also, tube diameter is critical. minimum is 1 5/8". preferred size is 1 3/4". racing minimum is 2". :Smarty: you gotta read between the tubes. btw, if the header flange is too thick, you will end up with clearance issues.

    I'm still interested.

Presently working on the intake but once that's done I'll need a spacer at the very least. I recently found out that those Australian guys who were building the 215 formula 1 championship engines were using a 3/16" alloy steel plate to tie the caps to the bottom end, along with a cast aluminum sump. I suspect the weak link in my engine may be the wrist pins and I'm not real anxious to find out. They are considerably smaller, thinner and lighter than standard Buick parts. So except for a few initial runs up into 7 grand territory I will probably seldom take it over six. Still, I do need a 1/4" pan spacer and a little extra stiffening down there couldn't hurt.

Worlds most expensive and durable home-brew Buick 350 block developed!
Rooters-US- A group comprised of engineers and home - brew mechanics has blueprinted out what must surely be the most solid support ever concieved for the rotating assembly of the venerable 350 ( 5.7 liter ) Buick V8. " We expect to be able to handle power levels up to 2000 Horsepower and 2000 ft/lb torque " quotes contributing engineer Jim Blackwood. "These are of course normally aspirated numbers. With our new titanium connecting rods, billet depleted uranium wrist pins and unobtanium pistons, well, we should see numbers around 3000/3000 boosted or nitroused on pump gas with methanol injection." Ford guys- look out- we're out to finally bury the KOTH Mousetang once and for all."

I am not sure why you are asking?:Do No:

I've been busy compleating my "Honey Do's" that my beautiful wife asked for. I should be able to devote some time now to the girdle project. I will keep everyone updated on a new thread. She asked me to take a few trees down amoung other things. It is the least I can do for her.
