Re: 350 Laser-Cut flanges Ready for Shipment!

Oops, Hi Bill! Sorry, I am back from a short notice get-a-way.
Box of flanges was 187 pounds and I was able to lift it from the floor into my truck just fine. Actually my arms are sore from fishing! I was able to escape for a few days with a few man buddies, and my oldest son (4 sons) deep sea fishing 40 miles out of Panama City. That is some fun. If you ever get a chance it is a great time with your kids. For the few of us the keeper Snapper, Tuna, and Grouper added up to 457 pounds. Using 60lb line I broke off 4 times on big fish I could not turn. They had me and I did not have them. I may have to trade the 21 Ranger toward a 31 Cape Horn. This is Dawson and one of his footballs. Everyone is welcome to the fish fry.

I have the flanges and am very happy with them. I think you will be pleased also. Everyone on PayPal? What I am thinking is send me your PayPal email. I can figure $58.50 per set and exact shipping from Atlanta to your zip and invoice you thru PayPal. I think that will work? If there is a better way or you prefer to send a check/M/O (personal check is fine with me) my address is:

Good News: On the fishing trip a met a new friend (Tool and Die business owner and BBQ King). He is a few miles from the house and wants meet and see the CAD drawing for the girdle. He has a WaterJet and a Laser cutter good for multi-inch steel. I will get a test pattern cut and confirmed to fit to the block. Still have to figure out what steel and thickness to buy, but inexpensive (crossed fingers) girdles for a 350 are a go in the very near future.::beers2:

Sounds good, make your pattern out of 3/16 or 1/4" cold rolled and I'll buy the pattern to make my lightweight spacer/semi-girdle out of. Better than scrapping it or leaving it hanging on the wall.

I remember pics of that girdle/pan showed up a few years ago and it was for a dry sump setup.

Yep, it's a dry sump. Apparently only 7 were ever made and this one is for sale over on BritishV8. Too bad it won't fit a 340.... or 350.... or 300... or 455...or, well, you know. But it'd be just the thing on a hot 215.

Definately looks beefy. Good for Vintage Racing, if your not allowed a cross-bolt block. Looks difficult to machine/set-up perfect. I suspect cross-bolt is stronger per lb. I have dry/wet sump pans ,casted that add, "some", strength. Perhaps I should post pictures? Plan is to weld on wet-sump,(cast or sheet), where-ever it needs to be. I've cut-down, Mopar BB., windage trays to fit BOP's. So far only up to 3.4" strokes. Art.

Tom, have you had any chance to do more on the girdle pattern? Anything we can do to help?

Received my three sets of flanges yesterday. Very nice pieces.
Now let's see if I can warp one of these babies.
Hope everyone else who expressed interest ponied up for them. Don't want to see Tom stuck for these especially since this was a HUGE favor for some of us.

    Jim,
He is close to having the pattern done and will be conferring with a few of us when the file is ready. :TU:

I got mine on Friday - thanks Tom!

Now I'd LOVE to see some posts with pictures of them in use! Especially with some shorty SBC headers welded in.

Anybody know if these headers (Hedman - '89 Camaro) will match up to these flanges and work in a '67 Skylark?

Thanks in advance for any insights.
