I am looking for a 70 non vented, fuel tank. That is for the 70 Buick 455 ( i don't think it matters, but it is a true GSX ) Not sure who repop these or if someone has one. Mine is new but it is not for the buick. the neck sticks out a little to far.
    Thanks for the help

Hi Clayton,I have to check a couple of them,to see if they are 70's.I do have one for sure, but it has that small bulge on the back bottom to install a electric fuel pump. Bruno.

I have this one,in parts for sale section. Was a new tank when the sump was installed by a fab shop.

FYI...you can remove the neck from the repo tank with a propane bottle. Do the same with your old tank. Then solder your 70 correct neck into the new tank. Works like goat lips!

Of course you need to fill your old tank with water up to near the neck to be safe.

Another option is to put the exhaust hose from an older vehicle without pollution controls into the tank & run the engine for 10-20 minutes with the hose inside the tank.
Will disapate the fumes so you can then solder or remove the neck. I have also done the water thing. It just becomes cumbersome being filled with water.

Last time I did tank r+r was with gto tank new, cut filler tube/ then spliced ends using heavy duty hose sourced from 70"s van at junkyard. If you were to buy new might be 65$ per foot. Before that with similar car and tank the misalignment between bumper and neck was solved by my mechanic pulling down on filler neck till it fit.
