I have a 70 GS with 470 CiD and am thinking of fuel injection. I would prefer port fuel injection but figured someone might have tried it or other options. Holley seems pretty good but as far as port injection, Pro-M Racing seems to be all I see out there. Does anyone have experience with this?
There are thread on here where people have rolled there own, including crank sensors. Usually these are based on the LS setup? I think some of the T/A intakes have bungs or locations for injector mounts? https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?t...3-injector-install.305405/page-2#post-2664368 I can't seem to find most of the other I remember, but will try again later...
I was tempted when my Holley started acting up and leaking on my 350 rebuild but I opted to get a QJet from Everyday Performance instead. I may regret that eventually but I'm curious out any more responses to this thread.
I sent my intake to a company in Miami (appears to no longer exist) who machined it for Port FI and supplied the entire system (pump, electronics, wiring harness, injectors, etc.). It was great to have a single-source to go to for help if there were any issues, although my only issue was a failed fuel pump. I didn't use a crank sensor, the FAST system just takes a signal from the distributor. However I do feel like there is further benefit to having a crank sensor (but this adds complexity to the installation). -Bob C.
