Fresh 455 Motor

    I have for sale an assembled 455 short block. All parts are brand new. I was asking $1500, but this needs to go. firtst with $1200 takes it.

    455 .030 Over Short Block Casting # 1241735 , Full Block, Crank, And Rod Prep. Rods And Mains Are .030 Under. Rod Clearnce Is .002. Arp Rod Bolts. Speed Pro Hyperutectic Piston's W/ Sealed Power Rings, Ta Performance Oil Galley Plugs Already Installed. Lunati Cam Part #33304 Aka The Hemi Killer. Lunati Hydraulic Lifters.     I dont want to sound uneducated but what looks wrong about the timing gear is it offset? if so how come???

    I think you are looking at the cam lobe that runs the mechanical fuel pump.

    That and the motor is not on TDC. Makes it look offset is all.

    Make sure the prospective buyer realizes the rear cam plug and (it appears) rear galley plugs aren't in yet. Sounds like the fronts are in, though.

    It's a 75/76. Check out the bottom pic., left hand side at the bottom. 455 is cast into the block. And those lifter bores look beefy.
