So, I scored a floor shifter out of a 64 Wildcat. I want to put it in my 65 Wildcat. I have all of the linkage. I am going to have to do some modifications under the car to get it hooked up correctly, but I'm not too concerned about that part of it. My question is the detents on the shifter itself. My understanding is the 64 transmission and the 65 are different. Can someone tell me what that difference is and if there needs to be any modification done to the shifter for it to work with the 65?
