Line 1: 134 (body number assigned)
    Line 2: 3437 188 (black bucket seats)
Line 3: A51 (bucket seats) U80 (rear speaker?)
    Line 4: D35 (?) B

This car does have a black bucket interior, AM radio, manual door mirror, no console...

    3437 = GS 350
U80 is for the rear speaker.
D35 is for the manual outside mirror. (code for remote mirror is D33).

Is the beginning of line 3 actually A51 or A01? A01 is typically what I find on these sheets, and would indicate tinted glass (all).

Line 3 would be "A01" not A51. That is covered by the trim code number 188.

The "B" at the bottom would be for the top color, which in this case is Black.

I’m having the same issue!! I bought a 68 GS400 last week. Beautiful car, restoration was begun by previous owner! The cowl tag has been removed, the 400 was replaced with a 455.4, and it’s completely in primer grey. Can’t get info for it anywhere I look. The original color was blue according to paint under primer! Beautiful white leather seats and panels inside despite being in a field with no doors, hood, or trunk on it(they were in a storage container!!) since ‘06!! Every bit of the chrome is accounted for and is in showroom condition!!! Need help finding all the build info. We do know it was car 7151 in ‘68 at the Freemont, Ca plant. Beyond that I am clueless. Can anyone help me find out all its info plz??? Thx everyone!

Vinnie, post up the Fisher Body Tag and let us take a look. The experts here can decode it for you. May be best to start a new thread....

Brad he says the cowl body tag has been removed (missing?). Isn't the cowl tag and Fisher tag one in the same?

    Where’s it located?
The only thing that says body by fisher is the interior chrome panel on the floor/door entrance. Is this it?

Under the hood on the firewall...will say "Body By Fisher" on it.

If your cowl tag has been removed on a 68 car, then I do not believe there is any way to replicate the original information that was on it. There is no microfilm or any other type of Factory info available for that year car.

If you had original Build sheets for the car then you could at least figure out most of the info, but without that......................

Does the guy you purchased the car from have a picture of the tag, before he removed it?

Oh, and the seats were not leather, originally they would have been vinyl.

There were two blues in ‘68; code E is ‘Deep Blue Metallic’, and then there’s a light blue metallic (and a teal metallic). There is a company that will make a trim tag for you, you just have to tell them what codes it should have. If you know paint color, top color, interior color and seat type you have most of what you need.

It’s more like blue mist(ppg code 13512).heres what the color under primer mostly resembles!!

That one looks a little too blue, this is closer to what I remember.

What does the VIN say? If it is an Oshawa car you can get the GM Canada production options sheet at least.

    your pics are less blue!
Here’s what color I’m finding on the car! Got an actual paint code for the blue mist???

You have the right code for blue mist. I think the formula might be tweaked on that car. I’ve seen that done by accident before.

But...what you posted looks like the backside of the bumpers, which shouldn’t have overspray unless it’s from a repaint, and that blue doesn’t look right for any ‘68 color-too light for Deep Blue, too blue for ‘Blue Mist’. What about under the trunklid, under the carpet at the rockers, maybe the saddlebags inside the front fenders?
