You earned that attention Ethan, simply by demonstrating tremendous talent & tenacity.

The '71 GS455 just happened to be the vehicle you used, both figuratively, and literally.

Well done Ethan! Keep this thread going. I love the "as is" or "beater car" builds, I find them waaay more intriguing than full concorus cars. Cheers bud!!

I've got a 69 GS400 coming my way soon that will follow this same program,...it's all matching #s but pretty rough,...but perfect for a beater reconstruction,....with AC,..do a more comfortable less burly approach,...

A fleet of honest road worthy and strong beater GS's sounds like a good idea to me,...

I've had beaters, street strip cars, and show cars. Looking in the rearview mirror, the fun level happens to be in that order as well.

It would be a neat idea to start a new race class for beaters. Driven to the track would be a must. We would have to come up with some sort of modified bracket system where the further the car was driven the better advantage they got. Maybe a heads up race but you can take a tenth off the et for every 100 miles the car is driven to the track?

We're arriving at the point where these cost as much as a Buick. One's in the purchase, the other's in the parts. Ethan's just have great taste.

That's 1.5 seconds for me. I still think I'll haul it for 2023. More seat time proving a bit of reliable car... Sounds fun
