Keith and I were just out that way a few weeks ago. Crashed in carbon cliff and went to Prasad's for an afternoon.

Know those names from the other board too -- just never met any of ya. Carbon cliff's still pretty good drive from me -- almost 3hrs. Anyways, one of these days maybe will run into each other somehow.

Found a true dual exhaust setup off a Monte Carlo ss for 100 bucks. I will still need downpipes made. It looks like its got cheap Turbo mufflers. Don't know if this would be the way to go or just st go with the original plan of a 3 inch Y pipe and gn style catback.

Been a while. Got the carb a few weeks ago. Just finally got a fuel line rigged up and got everything half assed set up so I can get the cam broke in. After a few minutes of playing with the distributor it popped right off and sprang to 2500 rpm. Throttle response feels much better compared to my turbo car. Unfortunately I had to shut it down after a few minutes. Got nervous with no spotter, forgot to hook up the fans and didnt see the temp guage move one bit. Loud as hell with no exhuast. Gonna have to get some ear plugs. Also need to unhook fuel line from pump and put some teflon tape on it so it stops seeping. All bs aside, it was a good day. Hoping to get the break in finished and drop oil tomorrow.

Got the break in finished sunday. Aside from air in the coolant system forcing me to shut it down and drill out the thermostat, it went well. No major leaks that I could find. Hard to hear any noises due to no exhaust but I figure if theres a major issue I'd notice it. I still have lots to do but for now I'm just gonna try to get some small stuff done until I get some real time to spend on it. I had a exhaust Y pipe sitting around off the original 455 I had and it damn near fits like it was factory. It would almost be useable but it is curved towards the trans instead of straight. Been thinking about looking through walker exhaust to see if they have what I need and I could finish the rest of the exhaust or if it comes to it I'll just have a shop make one. In case anyone is wondering why I would want a single into dual exhaust, I am removing the hooker cat back off my turbo t and plan on installing it on this car since I'm going to purchase a stainless steel kit.

Got the car to move under it's own power. That was cool, even if it was just out of the garage, down the street and back. Went to install the power steering belt and realized all my pulleys are all screwed up. I need to move the alternator bracket out probably 1/2 inch. If I wasn't planning on using a/c I'd just leave it as is but I just as well fix it right. Overdrive trans should be done in a few weeks. I got on the car just a little bit going down the street and it just blew right through the th250. I suppose hooking up the tv cable and filling it with fluid may have helped it some lol! Oh well. I'm gonna try to get everything straightened out. May not make it to the exhaust shop until next spring but I at least got something on it. Still loud as hell with the Hooker GN catback on it.
