Not to disappoint but..... I did let up early. If I stretched it to 7600 I could probably get thru the 1/4 with the current tune-up but until I get a forged crank and a Bulldog block I plan to keep it to the 1/8 mile stuff. I have plenty of 1/8 mile racing down here that will keep me plenty busy. Plus I plan to keep the Limited Street class 1/8mi. so others can keep there motors together longer. But I still had to rip it close enough to the 1/4 so I could have a 8 sec pass on paper. Just couldn't help it. :TU:
Weekend racing.. I plan to be at the track (Thunder Valley) this weekend if the weather cooperates. We'll see what all is left in it and how much juice it will take. :Brow: I'll take some video clips to pass on if I have anything worth looking at o No:
Rick tell me what day you are going to thunder valley and I will come to see the car run. I stay in Chadbourn. That is about 30-45 minutes away from there. I wish that I could get you to come to Rico's Race track in Hallsboro, where I live. The McKenzie boys loves them Buicks and plus we might pay you to come and put on a Buick show for us.
The Valley... Well, the track was junk on top of the heat. By the time they finally ran the tractor down the track and spray it down good, I was already loaded up and getting ready to go home. Plus a bad storm came through the night before and messed up the clocks so the time slips only had et on them with no mph. Thunder Valley is usually a pretty hookin' track. Its in Red Springs off Shaw Rd. It's about 15-20 min from my house. I am going to wait for it to cool down some before I head back to the track. Hopefully we'll get a break from this heat soon. I'll be looking to hit the Valley again but next time it will be at night.
I hear ya rick , its nasty up here too. Kind of counter productive to go to the track when its 100 degrees out ..lol I was just wondering are you running a glide in that thing ?I'm thinking of getting one for my car .. :3gears:
Rick, What size bottles are you spraying it with. Since you run 1/8 mile I am guessing one ten pounder with a -6 line? Are you spraying a 330 shot?
