Skip to 8:40 if you just want to see the Buick cam. Leads to believe there was no taper ground in. I know Mopar used to grind low-taper cams. Also wonder if too much taper can contribute to cam/block wear when combined with pressure created by a heavily worked oil pump pushing the cam too hard against the block.
