    Hello everyone,

I tested out my E fan sensor switch to make sure they were working correctly. I've had some problems with heat before so I wanted to make sure the sensor was working correctly. I prefer to use the one wire type sensor because it seems smarter and I try to take a minimalistic approach (fewer things to go wrong) but this one gave a very weak signal. You can see the light in my test light is barely lit. I did the same test with a two-prong/wire sensor and the test light was fully lit. I'm using an aluminum offenhouser intake (if that matters).

What sensor do you guys use and trust?

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

It may be that sender is bad. I have used a couple from BWD.

Check the resistance from the neg battery post to the sender boss on the intake. If you are not getting good ground there, I would go with the two wire and have peace of mind.

Use a narrow braid jacket (that chinese finger-cuff stuff) slipped over both wires and it will look fine.

I cut it, slip over the wires, then use a small piece of heat shrink over the end, then terminate the wires.
