We made the ''cam hub'' the same OD as the snout on the balancer so it uses the same oils seal as on the crank.
Engine going together this week,Then we'll see if it leaks oik

It's a Radial HTH belt which means it has teeth,Can't slip.Same tech as in the Pro Stock cars of today.

    What a setup

Dam Gary looks Nice looks like alot of time in the Setup. Do you have a Belt drive behind the cover or still a chain?. You should make some more and sell them to the Buick Racer's.

Did you guys make that Hub to bolt to the Camshaft. Look's to be Aluminum.

Is it made out of 6061 or 7075. Timming cover looks nice.

Did you drill the cam for extra Bolts or Just us the two bolt holes

    Gary,
What do you have, thrust bearings on both sides of the cam flange in lieu of a thrust button?

    distributor location...

Looks like you spent alot of time and energy on this one. Do you think it would have been possible to eliminate the belt altogether and attach the distributor directly to the timing cover in front of the cam and run it directly off the front of the camshaft? Would vibration from the cam/timing chain be a factor with a direct drive compared to the belt drive?
You did a great job with the fabrication. Looks like you have all the right parts in place for the car to be a very fast ride. Good luck, Randy

Am I the only person that get's nervous when i see tools laying on the cam/lifter journals? Always makes me think of the 20/20 episodes where some doctor leaves a tire iron insde of a patient. :Dou:

Looks really good though. I like it. :TU:
