This guy is well known around New England. He marches to the beat of a different drummer, he rides around Boston in a stretch Subaru Tribecca. https://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/2017/10/29/ernie-boch-jr-boston-arts/
Ernie Boch Sr. was the prototype for all "volume" car dealers. I actually met him once, and I knew the person who was his personal pilot at the time (he was making do with a Piper Navajo then). The first thing that I noticed was that he was impeccable in his appearance. He wore his Armani suits very well. I have never met Boch Sr's son, but Ernie Junior has long been a significant patron of the arts in the Boston area. I also like the idea of being buried in your own backyard. That's something that I would do if I could get the county's permission. As a sidenote - The last dealership that Boch built on the automile (Toyota as I recall) is slightly pressurized; the idea is that the air inside will escape and no outside air will enter (obviously with the exception of through the heating and air conditioning systems) This eliminates the issue of auto exhaust and evaporative gasses stinking up the place. The dealership also has the normal exhaust hoses.
If I recall, Ernie Sr was a key figure in having Subaru come to the states (or at least the north east). As such, I think a piece of every new Subaru sold went to him. Even though his car dealerships made a fortune, it is the Subaru deal that keeps him/ them rolling in it....
That's interesting, John. Well, not everybody wants to follow in their parents footsteps. He has absolutely the best TV commercials in New England, very uplifting with no plugs for the biz'. That's right George, he makes his $ from the Subie deal. He gets a cut for every one you see going down the road in New England. And....that's a ton of them. I shouldn't do this, but I'm going to out Dave (copperhead), too. You know that orange one you see speeding up and down RT 495? That's Daves! I dunno about being buried in the yard. I want to be burned with my ashes scattered in an obscure junkyard some place. Check out the limo! Dave wants to build one of these with a Hellcat engine. https://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/06/subaru-sanctioned-tribeca-built-by-boston-dealer/
