I have a 69 Riviera that I want to put the correct color striped vacuum hoses on the top of the engine for the air cleaner and thermal vacuum switch. I have a good diagram from the CD I just got to get it together but it doesn't make any reference to what color stripes they should be. The diagram for the headlights if great. It shows the colors. The only original hose the engine still has is one for the air cleaner vacuum actuator. It is 5/32 with a wight stripe so I know they were color coded from the factory. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rick

I'll give you my experience with color coded hoses...

I bought a headlight vacuum hose set for a 69 rally sport camaro. I want to replace the 50+ year old vacuum hoses for my 69 riviera. They looked awesome. In about 6 months, they all dry rotted. I wound up putting all the original hoses back in and threw out the Chineseium hoses in the trash

Now maybe I got a cheapo set. But i do seem to recall the repro yellow striped hoses someone made did the same thing too.

Yeah I just bought a headlight vacuum hoses off of E-bay so I hope the same thing won't happen to me. I was actually talking about the 6 hoses for the engine vacuum advance and thermostatic air cleaner. I know where they go now but I don't know what colors they should be. Oh yeah, I have to ask about your profile pic. What the heck it that?
