Friend of mine has this T-10, output shaft has 23 splines, believe it is a 61-63 Olds or maybe Buick transmission? These are the only pics I have. Can anybody confirm or tell me I’m out of my mind???? Came out of a ‘55 Chevy Bel Air so no history on the thing. Thanks!

    Hi,

The tail shaft could have been replaced as 61 trans would have a course spline output 10? Which I have heard twists under abuse.

Looks like a GM configuration as Studebaker used them as well bit believe the input is a different length.

Have him check the ratio in first should be a 2.20 or 2.54 if GM, does look similar to the one in my 65 4 door, and believe that original came from a 64.

Maybe someone with more knowledge can give you more insight

    Regards,

2.54 first gear, drilled and tapped 23 spline output shaft for a bolt in yoke, no VIN on main case which I believe is consistent with the Olds versions of this T10. I’m fairly confident this was originally in a ‘62 Olds Cutlass/F-85.
