Would think the show was held in Lansing home of Oldsmobile with the amount of Cutlasses presant.

Did you ever have the chance to tour the Olds plant in Lansing? I went several times as a kid and in my sophomore high school yr. lead a field trip there as a class assignment

LOL had a Cousin that worked for Old's in Lansing. Started on the line then drove cars off the line to the ship yard. Then became skilled trade mill wright before he retired.

I started work in Fisher Body Pontiac May 1968. I sub assembled Rag tops and loaded them in Tempest bodies to finish off the model year 1968.
Worked my seniority up to being a repair man on the line by 1975, 1979 they closed the plant and sent those cars to some other plant. I was laid off and went to driveing semi dragging a reefer coast to coast.

They called me to work on Ferios and I said no way. Another year and I got called to Orion Town ship to work on 98 Oldsmobiles and Cadallic sedan and coupe Devilles. I was working final process repair there.

Last cars I worked on before retireing was the Buick Park Avenue, Buick LeSabres and the Old's Aurora.

I got to more than tour a real auto assembly plant in my career.

Al, it was great finally catching up with you at Durand. I sure appreciate you posting pictures of the cars from all the local shows. I'll be at the mad house in Frankenmuth this weekend. Guy, I went over earlier to check out the cars on Water St. and saw you cleaning the tires on your car. What a pleasure to see the stage 2 Buicks in person. Got to meet Carl and a few of the other guys. It was great to have some of the famous Buick back in Flint!

We are avoiding the Frankinmouth mad house. Already did Back to the Bricks mad house but being on water street wasn't nearly as crazy.
We are going back to Sandusky Mi this year. Last year we had a great time there and met some really nice people.

I am not sure what is after Sandusky wife keeps a book on upcoming shows we have talked about doing. Oct 6th I know we will be doing the Caro Mi pumpkin fest car show. Held down town very nice people run it being near the end of the season a lot of people come to it.
We have the last Northwood university show in Midland to do.

It was nice meeting you and seeing your car and hearing the story behind it. I love to hear the storys people have. Some of the storys like ours is better than the car.
Hope to see you again soon. Keep in touch.

    Wow! Pretty cool life.
When visiting the Reynolds in southern Ca. I thought that was the capital of the car cultural. Its not, Michigan comes in first.
    We will be back.

Sorry I couldn't sit and chat more...would have loved to, but family was waiting for me in the restaurant behind where you were parked.
When we arrived on Friday it dawned on me, this is the first time the Reynolds/KB car came back to its birth place. So unreal. We really enjoyed the weekend.
