Dry paint areas- what’s a good product to use…

    I have a few “dry” areas in the paint that I need to polish to a luster. I have a dual orbiter polisher with foam pads. I will NOT use a “buffer” as I am afraid to burn through the paint…

    Here’s an example of the dry spots… compare the gloss on the fender to the hood….

    I used Maguires cleaner wax with my orbital in which it’s still “dry”..

    For those of you that work with paint, suggestions????

    Clear coat there? If not, any idea of the paint type and age?

    First thing I would do is clay bar it. Then use griots garage complete compound on a foam pad. It's a very light, white colored compound. That should cut the paint just enough to get those water spots out

    Devon- 2 stage- color, then clear. Painted ~ 1990....
