Wow !! Since I saw the ebay listing I realized this car is less than a half mile from my house, Don't know the guy though ! Saw the day he towed the whole car home. He does have silver GS If I remember correctly ?? Hope he comes thru for you !! :TU: Gary / moz
Hey Moz - He does have a '70 GS, said it was light blue but is in the process of having it repainted a different color. Came upon it when towing for Vitalones in Willoughby.
he bought this car for the front clip for the 70 GS that he's putting together. Moz he lives right around the corner from you, this is the car you emailed me about a month or so ago.
pm received. i was planning to go visit him tomorrow. it takes paypal time to resolve the claim. if he doesnt respond you will get a refund from paypal. maybe hes just going to wait until paypal deducts the money from his acct. and thats why he hasnt refunded your money. i will let you know what happens tomorrow.
The time expired (12/4) for Keith to reply to the claim via paypal; he never replied. I guess we will see what happens next?
Fabulous! I Just got the reassuring news from PayPal regarding recovering my $251.00 dollars from this guy...Here's the e-mail announcing what they have beat out of the seller so far... Dear Mark, We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in yourfavor. We were able to recover $0.42 USD and this amount has been credited to you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted. If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort torecover the balance from the seller. If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owedto you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against theseller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's accountprivileges.
Thanks, The sad part is I have tio wait 5-7 days for the funds  And there was probably $3.00 bucks in his account when they tapped it but the fee was deducted for the transaction only leaving me the $0.42 cents:laugh: I know I feel better knowing I can buy with confidence using my PAYPAL:laugh: I suppose wire fraud looks good on a guys record?
Mark i was planning a visit to Keith this weekend. should i still plan it or do you want to wait until the 5-7 days are up? he had a paypal acct. so there is either a credit card or bank acct. attached to it so paypal should be able to get your $$.
no not really, it easy to apply for a new card making the old numbers bad and to close a bank account. If he is trying to keep your cash he can real easy and no one will do squat. Unless you take personal action like snatching him up. Though now that he knows you got local friends to visit him, he may not be so friendly anymore.
i agree with 70's. unless this guy wants to continue doing business with ebay or paypal, you will not get any more money. some people have little self respect or character these days. i am sorry jim. ps if i wasn't a nice guy, i would find out what toy, car he likes or needs and burn it out.
This was an e-bay auction with PayPal protection; I should get a full refund? I filed a police report for theft and fraud. I also contacted Ebay and Paypal again to talk to humans  I hope it gets resolved to preserve integrity of the system:TU: And perhaps Karma will come aronud on the guy to claim it's just dueray:
 Paypal is refunding all the money!:beer :birthday: :bla:   Be sure to look for the buyer protection sympbol on auctions; where elligble, on anything shippable excluding most car purchases as the person explained to me on the phone. She appologized as Paypal should have cought it before refunding just $.42 cents!
Thank God, i am happy it worked out for you. i guess i am unlucky when things like that happen to me. i do not do ebay much at all. again great news jim
Which police did you file with?? You need tof ile with his local police so they can build a case as in reality they aren't gonna do anything. But it can be used to show a history of crimes for later use.
