Tales from the Loop. Black Mirror and some of the other anthologies I cannot reecall.

Just binged Manifest, and am in the middle of the 4400.

    Binged the "Fringe" years ago.

As mentioned, a drag they start a serial and then kill it with no closure.

At least Josh Whedon did a good job with Firefly by bringing out Serenity.

Sort of a similar feel with Breaking Bad and El Comino. (even though BB did have a finale, I always felt Jesse was the only guy that really was not an evil person, just caught up in an evil world, desperate to free himself from it. And I think he "deserved" a little of his character's own focus for the audience.

“Looker” is another good movie with an interesting premise. They are using hypnotic suggestion in TV commercials to make you want to buy their products.
    Go figure.

It was written by Michael Crichton.

Flash Gordon (1980) was fun. The soundtrack by Queen was perfect for our generation.
I saw it in the theater in my college days.

@72STAGE1 Completely agree on Prometheus and especially Interstellar, great movies.

I was a 90s kids so watching Ready Player One and all the old video game characters and horror movie characters is pretty cool.

Good to see that there are a good amount of gear heads that are also into Sci-Fi. Some of the lists I've seen in this thread have some really old movies, not sure I could ever sit down and watch them, guess I'm spoiled by all the CGI.

Along those lines. Heavy Metal is a classic. Great music, cool cars and hot cartoon chicks.

Somehow I missed "John Carter". Never heard of it but after reading about it on the Wiki, I think I will watch it!

@Mike B in SC You'll enjoy John Carter, one of those "i wished they would have done a sequel". I guess there are a few books in the series, but box office didn't make enough to get the studios to buy off on making a second one.

Ghost in the shell was interesting. John Carter was great, I watch it all the time.

I just got Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein with Bella Lugosi as Dracula and Lon Chaney Jr.as the Wolfman. Always thought it was the best movie they made. Although I do like Buck Privates too. (I am into WWII movies as well.)

Sci-Fi movies and war movies (mainly WWII) are my favorite movies, too! Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein is my favorite Abbott and Costello movie. I have not seen it in a long time.

If you are talking about WWII movies “The Best Years of our Lives” is one of the best.

It talks about WWII and is set when the war has ended and the economy is changing over between a war economy and a peace time economy. One of the few films to do this.

“The Third Man” is also set right after the war, in Vienna that still exhibits bomb damage. Definitely a specific time period piece.

If you can’t tell I’m into history, past, present, future, or possible.

Thought of George Orwell's 1984 and Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 today as well. Read them both in my teenage years.

    Mister T,
Daybreak 2250 AD was written by Andre Norton. I just checked the internet and they have used copies for sale starting at $6.00

    Go for it.
