Anybody running (or farmiliar with) the Holley 4011 carb? From all the research I've been doing.....it's a good carb that never caught on. Holley has ZERO support for it. My question is.... does anyone know which vac ports go where? It's the last step in getting myself to having this old girl running.....possibly TODAY! I know the big one up front is brake booster.....but I'll just keep running that straight off the manifold. The other small 3 up front is my concern. I can post pics if needed. Any help is awesome! Thanks in Advance!!!
The info in the post here should do it for you: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/holley-4011-vacuum-ports-help-125068.html Devon
I'm running a 4011 on my 455. I'll get back with you after work. I love mine, hope you find the same.
I had a 4010 on a 401 AMC that I was not happy with out of the box, sent to The Carb Shop when Brad urban was alive, talked to him on the phone and he assured me he could correct the glitches.$200.00 later I could tell little difference.I have a new in the box 4011 on the shelf from 1990 that I may try to use in the future,so I will be curious as to how you like it.Summit sells the exact carb now under their name
Holley still has a renew kit for that, summit part number HLY-37-1541 , standard jets, standard power valves. As for vacuum lines, large one in front-pcv, top plugged. The two on the right, top runs hvac flaps, bottom plugged. I assume you won't to know which is timed spark and which is manifold vacuum, I've got the guage hooked up but waiting for my wife to wake up so I can check that out. I need to know too cause I'm gonna try running vacuum advance this summer. Hope that helps, imho, you can't beat a spread bore for the street. Let me know how it goes.
Hey Stu, do you have the mechanical or vacuum secondary version? If you have the double pumper we may be the only two people on the planet running that carb, and both on a Buick!
Vac secondaries. It's mechanical choke.....for now. I'm gonna look into an electric conversion down the line!
Not yet. Waiting on a buddy to swing by and help me out. I'm not confident enough to do it myself!!! It's the 800 DP though. There will be 2 of us soon enough!
