    Thank you in advance,

    Would you be able to identify the pictured differential? It is out of a 1970 Buick Electra 225 Custom. It has;

    10 bolt cover
    12 ring gear bolts with 3/4 in heads
    2.56 gears (41-16)

    The idea is that I am looking to put in a limited slip. Thanks and have a good one.

    Thanka you.

    Yeah that's what I thought. Dang; I was hoping to have to avoid an axle swap just to get posi. Well since I have to change out the axle I might as well make it worth my while (heads, cam, intake manifold, headers, EFI, Electronic Ignition) and while i'm in there re-gear to a low 3 to keep the streetability

    In addition to the engine rebuild to make the rear-end swap worth your while, you may want to consider a new torque converter.

    With overdrive, whether through a new transmission or Gear Vendors, you could probably re-gear the diff to mid or high 3s
