    TRUE!
Lotta times we forget or take for granted how good we Americans have it here despite all the changes going on.
As a youngster in the 70’s I remember my dad complaining gas was over 50 cents a gallon, then in the 80’s the buzz was geez these cars are garbage and drugs are an issue.
In the 90’s new music sucked ( I’m biased towards 80’s music)
When the time odometer rolled to 2000, we had/have terrorist attacks.
It’s ALWAYS something, best we can do is be nice to nice people;)

Tractors, chainsaws, cars, etc. It's nearly everything & all it takes is one hiccup in the supply chains to shut everything down. GM (gm) is deleting options & even standard equipment on some vehicles to save on the number of chips needed.

Next I read is rubber but that happens cyclically m/l about every 7 years w/ or w/o Covid which will just intensify it w/the ocean/container shipping issues. Oy.

Deleting options or standard equipment would be funny, interesting!
Imagine a younger than me/us going to buy a new car,,,,,,,, Auto trans OPTIONAL, a/c OPTIONAL, fm stereo OPTIONAL, pwr windows, locks, tilt wheel OPTIONAL!!
27 cup holders and power outlets OPTIONAL!
“Dad, this car is stripped” “ you want a car to get around or someplace to plug in your phone and listen to your shitty music?”

Sold a 5 ton a/c system yesterday. The heat pump section is unattainable. Did a search of all the distributors in the SE and found one in La that has 4 in stock. Placed my online order. get a call 20 mins later saying they wont ship out of state without the approval of his boss. Have him call me.... silence. I should buy all 4 and drive over there.

The 3-year old AC system in my house fried it's compressor last week. Rheem didn't have a single compressor in the state of Florida. We had to have one airfreighted from the factory.

GM delivers Chevy Trucks without Start/Stop Option to save one ECU...crazy

From what I can tell from overseas small businesses in the states are hit much harder than here in Europe it seems. Or is it just me?

NICE isn't so nice at all....you have to chain everything or it gets stolen...it's really a big thing there...
when you park a car boys ask you if they shoud guard your car...for a few bucks....if you don't be sure your tires are stabbed or windows broken....most of the time some tire guy is right around the corner....happens in italy as well...

I am almost finished with the underbody of my car but yet no sign of a short block coming in...:(

Some very good friends are remodeling their kitchen and living area in their house. They have been told that it will be 5-6 months before the new refrigerator or any new refrigerator is available.

I hope no appliances need to be replaced in our house for a couple years...

Speaking of locked parking brake - Yesterday I heard a horrible screech that just continued. There was a new Ford truck chain towing an old GMC Pickup - probably in the 1960's. Both rear wheels were not turning. My guess is that they were trying to free a stuck parking brake. The only thing they were going to accomplish was to make a sale for a tire store.

I don’t think ANYONE is deliberately buying it; most people don’t know the vehicle has it until they test drive it. They either learn to accept it or they find a way to disable it.

My wife's minivan has start/stop. I hate it and disable it whenever I drive it solo.

Can't stand stop/start! I have had a few rental cars with it and it drove me crazy.
