Dcr and fuel

    Qustion for the more knowledgeable, 455, .038 over. 11.3 to 1 cr. Stage 1 aluminum heads. Orange crush gaskets Stock rods and stroke. 308s cam degreed at 104 as it says on cam card which says intake clses at 62 abdc. I get 9.16 dcr. Sound about right? If so what octane/fuel do you recommend? Thanks, you all are a wealth of info.

    Make sure you are using advertised, or in the case of a solid flat cam, seat duration.

    So, doing it again on gofastmath.com using the intake valve closing at.50 which the form asks for, it comes out to 8.04

    11.3-1 with alu heads - you can run premium 93

    Should be OK on pump 93 if you keep it running cool, and ignition timing is right. Run it on Race Gas at the track though, Leaded 110.
