Mike I am surprised you didnt say what you really said! :Smarty: I saw those moldings and they were crap. Hey Dan I thought you said they were Top notch? That one molding looked as if it was cleaned up with sand paper. Mike does quality work but maybe if you had better glasses you could see what was wrong with them and why he wouldnt use them. How would you like to have parts sent to you that would de-valuate the entire job?? :af:

    Is it just me or???

The bumper will work. I already said that. I am not complaining about it, but when you say it is "super sweet", that is simply not accurate. The only reason I am even speaking about it is because of your overly-liberal definition of "super sweet". If you read what your customers say, it is YOUR DESCRIPTIONS that are causing people to be misled. Maybe you are a good guy, but it takes more than that to keep buyers happy. Your "super sweet" is fluffed to make a sale in my opinion, or you simply don't know much about cars and think everything is awesome?

I am going to take a couple pics of the bumper so people know what your definition of "super sweet" is. I will post that later on just because buyers need to beware of your fluffed descriptions. Once people see the pictures, it will no longer be just my opinion.

I do not want anything from you. Read previous posts. Your taillights are going in the trash along with my money and time.

These mouldings are not in short supply around here and the ones that are "crap" go where "crap" goes. The ones I sent will polish up like a mirror if that's the look you're going for (i.e. no dents, dings, bends or heavy scratches). I had some ready to exchange but based on the condition of the pieces returned decided it would be best to just issue a full refund. Short of sending out fully polished mouldings I don't think this buyer would be satisfied. I can really only speculate as to why they were really returned??

First off Dan, I told you from the beginning these needed to be NICE I was installing them on a SHOW CAR!! These were barely driver material....The vertical moldings were pulled off with a can opener. The lip was damaged so bad they could not be saved the one was not damaged like a can opener but it was not curved any longer had flat spots (DENTS) in the molding the oher I thought I could save when I polished the tarnished finish I uncovered 3 dents all within a 1.5 inch area. I cant use dented parts... The back glass molding looked like it was sanded to clean off silicone with 80 grit paper. I spent an hour on the buffer and hardly any of the scratches came out. It was dent free but the scratches made it so I cant use it. You stated and I quote

You can see what I expected below too. You either need glasses or your idea of top notch is way below average. You can justify anything you want but those moldings sucked. If I was to use them I would have not made for a happy customer. You sent them and I wasnt a happy customer. If you think that I sent them back for any other reason let me be perfectly clear .....Those moldings were NOT top notch they were mediocre at best. Driver material maybe. If you think they were better than that you need to get away from selling parts because you are about to have some unhappy customers. keep trying to justify those moldings Im out of here.

Should've tried polishing it, I'm sure you would have been pleased with the results.

I assure there was no can opener involved in the removal process and 80 grit sand paper has never touched that moulding.

So in the last twenty minutes you've gone from cluelessness to becoming a stainless steel polishing expert???

Do you even realize the difference between extensive restoration via buffing with different buffing wheels and compunds compared to applying some off-the-shelf "polish" and expecting a shine???

I'm not here to qualify my level of expertise. Buffing vs. Polishing, What's the difference???

Well since your the expert why have I been polishing and "buffing" trim (ie Alunimum , stainless ) for over 10 years?? I guess since you really are clueless as too who I am maybe you should look around. I have had a GS and been in the buick world for over 28 years to start with ....where did you come from? I have been in this business (restoring cars) since 1986 I have been reproducing parts for the buicks since 1988 I have been polishing metals for over 10 years and untill I got your trim I had successfully saved unwanted trim. But your trim was crap. Why would I send it back if it wasnt!!??? I NEED those peices right now!! I have one car I need to deliver and all that I need is that back glass trim to do that. Get your ego in check ,your parts were crap I sent them back because you misrepresented their condition and as far as IM concerned you owe me $10 shipping and an hour of my time for wasting on them to try to save them........................climb back under your rock.

Without knowing a lot about the other parts, when a man says that the trim is nice and Mike says it can't be saved, I know all I need to know about the seller.

If he can't save the part there is no chance of me or most people being able to use it.

Doesn't matter if its ignorance or if it's intentional, you can't rely on descriptions of parts based on that alone.
