Cowl hood

Anyone have this hood? Does it actually fit decent and how’s the quality?

 

I have one, never used it ....
It just hangs around.

 

Curious about them also with the iso plate.

 

Also wondering about the hinge use one. I assume it would need different springs on the hinge?

 

Mine is the US Bodysource hood that is a bolt on,but since I had a set of VFN glass fenders,I had to use Dzus's to hold it on.It still latches (rather well) with the factory latch too. Mine doesn't have the piece underneath like they have on the bottom of the page though. Quality is pretty decent.

 

The scoops pictured here are way to short for a Skylark hood. You need the "extended length" cowl scoop from Glasstek.

 

Unfortunately,I'll probably have to take my name off of Craigs hood list as I am thinking I'll need a 6 inch cowl hood to clear the carb hat on my motor..But I know where a reasonable priced Glasstek hood is somewhat closer..

 

I have a pin on from US Body source, the quality was so so. The front lip is weird. I think its meant more for a 71 / 72, i needed to add some glass to the passenger side to make the 70 trim fit descent. This picture is just after paint. The fit is pretty good, but not near as nice as one of Craigs hoods

 

yes lighter springs are used.

 

What's holding the hood looks nice,...

 

I have one on my car, it took some work to get it to look ok. That was 24 years ago though.
