Well..So many projects , spare parts and a daily driver pick up that needs fixing ,just cant afford the down time....

So it hit me, have a 350/350 from my Skylark that needs to come out and go on the stand...Not sure when the Skylark body will get done
2nd, I have an 84 V6 Regal roller sitting in my yard that is taking up space...
I love the fact that this thing will pretty much drop right in...Been searching the forum a little tonight....I have 200c x members hangin around.
And the front clips are off both of the cars ..Suspension already apart, could easily get the v8 springs in there now
Hmmmm this is really tuggin at me..

So far the only thing I havnt ironed out is the need of the v6 motor mount on the v8 350 block...

Thinking out loud here, looking for someone to push me over the fence.lol

put it in there, it only takes a couple hours. you dont have to move the motor mounts and actually i waited untill i went to the 455 to change the front springs. when i had my sbc with the v6 springs it was fine and i belive it is heavier then the buick 350.

If I cant get this thing running it wont be visiting any Regals...Started a thread in "small block tech" but until I get some new ignition components I dont want to cry out for help just yet...
I am just about ready to make the jump pending a running motor and the idea that I will be able to use the 5.7 Aluminum 3rd gen F body Radiator..This way it can be used for the GN later...

Do it. Plop that 350 right in there:TU: :TU: It will beat any same car that has a sbc.

v-6 springs will be perfect. They are too stiff if you use a glass hood and bumpers. My roomate did the swap on his withthe glass parts and its almost spot on. It didnt take more than a long weekend including some new parts and trips to the parts store.. belts , hoses etc.

I did the same with a 455.. Now that I think of it, we should have put a list together... hose and belt numbers, a kit per say.. ow well.

Our old "team Captain" used to say "Get It Done" ......

Good to know on the springs...I will stay with them ..
Well, I did get the motor running today and I am very pleased...

I have most of the parts just a couple of hangups...The bigest one being the exhaust..Being a temporary set up I didnt want to go to crazy with the money..
I was hoping to utilize one of my old Turbo Regal systems...but that will leave me with a Y conection...
The other thing is the radiator...I dont mind purchasing a new radiator if I can use it in one of my other projects .
For example , I am thinking of using the 3rd Gen 5.7 F body rad...I can then use it in my GN later on down the road..
I do have a GN fan, but really dont want to worry about flipping a switch..
I was hoping that maybe I could use one of those 305 chev/g body shrouds with this radiator..not sure

Well I found a 307 shroud in a Cutlass today..The few others were chev v6 shrouds in some older monte's..
If I remember corectly my 86 limited(307 olds) had the same radiator top as the 86-87 turbo regal , juts minus the studs for the electric fan. Think the radiator had the same dimensions as well..
