Correct crank for 4sp or just modify bearings?

    The failure mode for a bearing is much worse than that of a bushing

    Agree. I would never install a pilot bearing in a street driven car. Would fail way before a cinder bronze pilot bushing. The bushing can absorb debris where as the bearing can not. And there is a lot of debris floating around there.

    A friend who builds/races stock cars suggested a bearing. So bushing it is? Can anybody tell me if there’s one out there for my application that DOESN’T need machining???
