Is there a source for the correct MC? Didn't some Corvettes use that same Master? I remember Then and Now under Mark Reeves selling the correct one back a ways.

ACDELCO 18m72. 1 1/8 is the recommended bore for power assist brakes. disk/drum... I personally hate the corvette 2 bail units... I prefer since bail..

I have this very issue. I only have this car about 1 month. I was concerned about the excessive brake pedal travel. The car has an aftermarket front disc brake kit and factory rear drums. All look very new including new wheel cylinders in the rear. The first thing I did was bleed out all four wheels. It didn't really make a difference in the travel, but it gave me a little peace of mind. I went to a local car show and a very knowledgeable Buick guy knew right away, that I had a 4wheel drum brakes master cylinder and that is probably my issue. I got an old school parts store to find me a Wagner #. It's MC10125Y. But no stock anywhere that he knew.

How "correct" do you want? And what are you willing to pay?

This is what I have. If it came out. What would I be willing to pay? Anything within reason. I have really no idea. But I definitely need to get one.

Frankie, that is a nearly correct drum drum master. Original had bleeders.

Bring it to apple hydraulics in Calverton. $250 to sleeve and rebuild it

Got a brand new one that I bought from someone on the board. It is a repro.

So a repro is good enough then?

If you look closely, you can see that the correct master cylinder is very much larger than what was on my car. The former probably came with whatever front disc brake kit that some former owner had installed. But you can see the difference. Thank you Bruno and Larry for steering (braking) me straight!
